Macs Are Windows Compatible

If you have a Mac desktop or notebook, but prefer to work with the Windows operating system, then you are in luck. Most people don't associate the Windows operating system or Microsoft Office applications with a Mac computer. The truth is, Macs have evolved over the years and can now support the same operating systems and applications as a PC, making the Mac a serious competitor in the PC world.

You can even get the best of both worlds by running Mac OS X and Windows side by side on the same computer. All you need is the Parallels Desktop for Mac, or VMware Fusion. In addition to running the competition's operating system, Macs will also support Microsoft Office applications. Any other applications that are Windows-only can be added with the help of an application called Boot Camp.

You shouldn't have any trouble connecting your PC accessories, such as cameras, printers, or keyboards to your Mac either. Most devices will work with a Mac just by plugging them in to the desktop or notebook. The Mac takes over by opening the correct application, and asking you what you want to do once it's connected. This seamless PC integration is another of the many innovations that prove the endless adaptability that comes with using a Mac.

Go Back To School With A Mac

Toward the end of August it's time to start thinking about back to school supplies for your children. Start by creating a checklist to make sure they are equipped with all the necessary items to succeed in their classes. An essential tool that can be a great help, especially to the college student, is a Mac desktop or notebook. School projects, papers, and research can all be done on these innovative machines. The iMac is perfect when maximum power and performance are needed, but space is limited. This is especially critical in a college dorm where there's never enough room. If your student is always on the go, a Mac notebook would be the perfect solution. Small enough to take anywhere, while still able to perform all the functions that a desktop can, a Mac notebook is the perfect companion for a busy scholar.

A Mac can also provide opportunities to develop interests and hobbies, especially those related to media editing, when free time is available. All those pictures that preserve the memories of college life can be edited and saved as a photo album, or combined into a video for future reunions. With the endless uses of a Mac desktop or notebook, you can rest assured that your student will be fully prepared to take on the challenges of school. And with Mac of All Trades, you will be able to find the perfect used computer, fully tested and reconditioned, at a low price.
