Signs That Your Mac Needs More Memory
The first sign your Mac needs more memory is if it is exhibiting subpar performance. If your Mac does not respond when opening an application or it takes longer than usual to run and use the application, your Mac needs more memory.
The second, and most direct, sign is that a notification will pop up on your screen, saying that memory is low or that you are out of memory.
Another sign that a Mac needs more memory is if there are problems with applications and web pages displaying properly. The page may only load partially, or sometimes not at all, and a blank space may result where there should be a picture or item.
The last sign is an unresponsive Mac. If there is too little memory available, the Mac might not respond to your actions when it is turned on or being used. A blank page may appear, but sometimes nothing at all will happen.
