Laptop Macs Vs. Desktop Macs

A notebook Mac is a small, mobile computer that can be carried anywhere for increased convenience.  They usually weigh under 15 pounds and run on a single battery or from an external AC/DC adapter that charges the battery while also supplying power to the computer itself.  Portable Macs contain a built-in keyboard and an easy-to-use trackpad.  They comfortably fit in smaller spaces, contain the same applications as desktop computers, and can be easily transported to work, school, vacations and back home.

A Mac desktop is more powerful than a portable Mac since it does not rely on a single battery for power.  The speed and functionality of a desktop Mac is much greater than that of a laptop because it is much larger.  Desktop Macs are also more convenient if you will be working with graphics, multimedia, or playing computer games.  Two types of desktop Macs are available: a Mac computer tower without a monitor, and an all-in-one Mac monitor and computer drive.
