refurbed is the way to go January 27, 2017
Reviewer: Matthew Morris
As a video editor and media professional, I needed to upgrade my home system for freelance work. We all know that Apple expects top price for their new products, because users expect it to be perfect.  We also know that Apple makes very small changes from generation to generation, which is why I chose a refurbed iMac from 2011. Even though it was older, it had a SSD and i7 processor and DVD writer (now discontinued). I easily upgraded the RAM to 32GB on my own and this has been the best computer ever, all for a very, very reasonable price, plus the 1 year protection plan. 1st time customer now lifetime customer. Thanks Mac Of All Trades!
